Hello! I am interested in purchasing this pack as well as the revamped office interior and serene village packs. I just wanted to clarify- do all three of these sets function in RPG Maker MV? (It uses a tileset base of 48x48 tiles)

Sure! The limitations are primarly about the animations (both characters and objects) because in the MV the frame limit for characters is 3 and for objects is 4!

One suggestion for the Character packs is to include up/down directions for sitting. I'm using the Modern Office pack and when chairs are oriented up/down there's no corresponding sprite in the Modern Interiors pack for that.

I'm trying to import the premade characters into GMS2. I import the sprite sheet then Edit Image -> Image -> Convert to Frames. 

I can't find the right settings to neatly cut all rows in this sprite sheet to get animated sprites I can drop into my game. I'm trying to cut each row into frames and then manually cut/paste frames to separate out sprite directions, etc.

Could you please advise on what settings to use in Convert to Frames to cut each row in the sheet into sprite frames? I'm using the 48x48 sheet.

Number of frames = 72

frames per row = 24

Size = 48 X 96

This should get the movement and idle anims for you and help you figure out the rest. Due to there being a limit of 999 on total sprites you cannot do the whole sheet at once, if doing each row than count how many on row and write that in both number of frames and frames per row than use offset to go down the row each time and cut :)

hi! i really love your art style and the character generator! i'm planning on using these to play around in rpgmaker mv but i'm still VERY new to the program. that being said, how can i import the character sheets made in the generator into mv? whenever i do that, it's much different than the rest of the sheets mv already has to offer, and it's unusable. how can i format my sprite sheets for rpgmaker mv and have it work properly?

this is what it looks like whenever import the character sheet in. i haven't tried to import the tilesets in for the floors and buildings yet, but i'm also curious as to how i should do that if i'm having issues with the characters (just for clarification if i do run into any issues in the future)? thank you very much!

Hi fuki! Thanks for the support!
All the stuff that can be imported into the rpg makermv are in the related folder ("Modern_Interiors" -> "RPG_Makers" ->"RPG_Maker_MV" ). In the mv folder you will also find a .txt guide I personally wrote to import all the stuff!

The character generator is actually unavailable for the rpg maker due to the way the software treats the spritesheets, unlickily you can't upload a sprite sheet with all the animations into the rpg maker cause the frame limit for each row is 3 and the row limit is 4.
Btw, you will still find a really lite version of the Character Generator converted for the rpg makers, I'm sorry but it's literally impossible to do more :s

Lastly, if you are really new to game developing, I suggest you to practice a bit with the rpg maker and then switch to Game Maker Studio (it has recently become free), where you can use this asset (and many others) at its full potential!

Hey, I like this asset pack but I'm having one major issue. Namely I have no idea where this install guide is located in the files, I've searched everywhere. Help would be appreciated, I'm just ruining the files more and more on this test game lol.

Hi mip, what software are you using?

I'm using the new RPGMaker MZ on windows. 

The MV and MZ bave the same import method and file requirements, so just  use the mv files and “IMPORT MANUAL” .txt ;)

Thank you a lot for this awesome package. I'm kinda lost finding a tile piece in it. I marked it in the red square. I'ts a wall with black side lines. I can only find it in this room preview and I found it in borders in white too but I would love to use different colors. Can anyone help me please? Keep up the amazing work!

pretty nit picky but i think your butterfly animations are misnumbered. colors do not seem to line up across the idles/moving animations.

I bought your work because I like the renderings of your character shooting with a gun very much, but how should I make it into rpg maker mv? There are limitations in the figure walking diagram of MV.

There is also the dynamic effect of furniture items in your renderings, which I like very much. I tried to simulate this effect through the stepping function of walking diagram in MV, but unfortunately it was not ideal, and the stepping function effect in MV changed too fast.

Hi po, the RPGMaker has strong limitations regarding animated stuff, so I'm not sure I'll be able to convert some of the new animations for the MV. Btw, there's a user who's writing a script to do that, so let's have faith in him!

Can you please add the RPG Maker versions of the punching/attacking animations for characters? Because I don't know how to set them up for RPG Maker MV.

Hey, I have a question about the character generator (i use it with piskel)...


When I import the outfits, they are only applying for the idle, walk and sleep animation. Is there a way to get the outfits working with the other animations like the sitting or taking smartphone animation?

Hi noob here. Do the animated sprite sheets have to be used as events? I've placed 48x48 sprite sheet into the characters folder (MZ) but when selecting the image from the event images on the left, it's not highlighting the sprites correctly on the right. Only a portion of them, like the size is wrong. Maybe I'm doing this entirely incorrectly?

Hi Triggish, you can find all the MV/MZ compatible file in the related folder ("Modern_Interiors" -> "5_RPG_Makers")! There's also an import manual I personally wrote! ;)

Hey great work on the assets, I struggle a bit with slicing the shadowless spritesheets into sprites in unity.

Are there plans for shadowless singles or do you perhaps know of a way I can easily turn the shadowless spritesheet into sprites without having to do a lot of them manually?
So far I tried cutting them automatically as well as with set values ( 32x32, 48x48, 64x64).

Indeed, the auto-slice doesn't work with my tilesets cause they have many irregular and big sprites!

It wasn't planned to add shadowless singles cause no one ever showed interest in having them, until you came!

Hi Sophie, the 3D walls aren't actually compatible with the MV, but I'll do some more test asap! For now, there are tons of classic walls compatible, you can find them in the MV folder ("Modern_Interiors" -> "5_RPG_Makers")! 

Will the exteriors be matched to the interiors you have already done (museum, shops etc) or will they be different?

Thank you so much for the beautiful asset pack! I'm just getting into how to do RPG Maker MV for fun before I step into more intense game making. And this made my process of learning easier to do since I didn't have to worry about making all my own assets and characters yet haha. One question! With RPG Maker MV is there a way to apply the character generator bits so I can build the characters in the generator? Or am I supposed to use photoshop and physically build the characters with the bits you've provided. IE hair, clothes etc.

Seriously thank you again. You've made game making actually achievable for me :)

I'm so happy to have helped you starting your adventure! The asset works at its full potential when used on softwares like Unity, GMS2 etc, so some of its features are cut off due to the RPGM MV requirements!
For the character generator, you should modify the scripts of the software to have each part working into it, otherwise you need to use an art software, even a simple one like Piskel!

for the room builder floors_32x32, i have to import into gamemaker studio as 16x16. is it supposed to be like that?

thanks for the quick reply! I want the 32x32 room builder floors, but it doesn't seem like its importing correctly into game maker studio. Its only able to size properly when i manually change the import settings to 16x16. Does that make sense?

Mmmmh that's weird cause the 32x32 version is just a magnification of the 16x16, and the grid behind it should be fine! Could it be a GMS setting?

Hey! I bought your asset and I have a question. What's the difference between RPGMaker folders? I myself use Unity

RPGMaker folders have the files sorted and organized for the RPGMakers, but they lack some of the stuff like many animated objects! For Unity and all the other softwares, use the stuff outside that it's the 100% of the asset ;)

I'm not sure I answered your question to be honest ahahah The difference between the RPGMakers folder is based on the software version (eg. MV, VX, XP)
If you are using unity, don't use these files cause they are suboptimal :)

Where can I get textures? There are many folders and textures are the same everywhere, somewhere more, somewhere less

Folders are sorted based on your grid size (16x,32x,48)
If you are gonna use a 16x16 grid, these below are the files you need: "interiors_16x16" has all the sprites from the day 1, the "Theme_Sorter" folder has all the sprites from the day 1 but sorted by theme and the "Room_Builder_16x16" has all concerning walls, floors, steps etc.

I have the same problem, the tileset dosnt mach, i mean, if I use the aotomatic slice by example 48 x 48 some parts dosnt work, like a wall with a part of chair, or a table with a part of another table etc, that and the borders are diffue
