108th update: Metropolis 27/?

update v13.1

The "Metropolis" update serie will include tons of new buildings and elements for your city,  with the goal to supply a complete and realistic city tileset

Did some test today to see how the new buildings fit the other stuff

- Added a modular brick wall (2 colors) you can place to delimitate areas  (you can also draw graffitis on them)
- Added a modular hanging wire for drying clothes to place between buildings and some side-view window frames
-Added a simple shadow tileset you can use on many buildings of the pack

See you and happy game-making! :)

Woah *_* this looks sooo good!!!! it fits so well together and looks so deliciously customizable… you’re a gift *_*

I have a few minutes so here’s some ideas for city features that would be useful to a game dev, see if any of them inspire you >:3

(can’t check whether some of them were already done right now, great minds think alike if so—)

- amenities such as drinking water fountains, public toilets boxes, metro/tram stations, or food stands (for management or city simulator type games with need or transport systems). also cameras

- modular scaffolding (for platformers and city sims, may be challenging, though)

- helicopter landing pad. game devs love helicopters. wonder if drones could be added to that? could be interesting. drone delivery game. or maybe you’ve got to shoot them down eh.

- shiny chrome buildings for white collar work environments 🤔 yaknow those giant skyscrapers. would allow for a wider range of city styles

- on that note, with your recolors you’re already planning for, consider whether some details can be altered/added to change the style of the city without too much effort on your part (ex. minimalistic/futuristic? steampunk? tokyo nightlife? changing the colors and adding some extra motifs like gears/pipes/neons that could be pasted on top of what already exists could possibly make this happen with little cost… worth thinking about for the win-win)

- library or hotel buildings, or other game staples

- catwalks or arches/bridges between buildings (platformers and such)

ahhh i need to go. HAVE FUN… and of course no pressure on any of those. just wanted to share >:3

Thanks for the HUGE list of prompts, they are cool and feasable! I'm gonna surely make some of the in future updates!

I especially like the helicopter and drones one!
Scaffoldings are really needed, they would super useful for so many game genres!
Food stands is something I've never think about, but it's a damn great prompt!

Right now I'm testing some recolors for the floor-modular buildings so they look different, gonna show them right after all the door animations!

Thanks again! <3

I'm using your assets to build my second game, a political sim / puzzle RPG. Its in very early stage but I'll share the progress along the way on my devlog!
