Jesus LimeZu, this is amazing! Really looking for purchase...
I'm making a roleplaying game, and this asset really looks like im up to...

Im programming, design everything, take a look: http://rolepixel.com/

If i purchase above that price, i can still use as commercial?
And i can edit some for my own game?

Thanks!

Hi Kbcaah! Your project looks sick, best of luck for it!

Yes sure, above 1.20$ you are allowed to use and edit everything for your commercial projects! :)

(+1)

Thanks LimeZu, gonna organize everything and for sure i will purchase (1.20$ to cheap, for sure i will give more ahaha)

Awesome work! Credits will be in-game aswell !

Thank you Kbcaah, I really appreciate :)

(+2)

Hey, I just wanted to say, Good fking job man!
I really appreciate this asset and definitely planning to use it in my game :)

Thanks Valrok, every positive comment means a lot :)

(+1)

if i buy the 5$ bundle for the lunar sale with all th epacks inlcuding this will i still be purchasing the license since its over 1.20$?

Hi Ryan, The 5$ bundle includes the full license of Modern Interios, so yes :)

(+1)

awesome! I am going to probably pick it up then, thanks for that! Do you know if its the same for the rest of the assets in the bundle? If not its okay!

Yes, you get the license for all of them! ;)

(+2)

Hi. I just bought the pack and I'm amazed :D Superb work!
I was wondering if you could add empty UI thinking emotes (square and round options). I would like to add some other objects in the bubles but they are all filled with some sort of pixel art.

(+1)

Hi Aidas5, thanks for your comment!
I've just added the empty emotes :)

(+1)

So if I pay for the license I can use these in commercial titles, with credit to you of course?

(+2)

Yes, exactly! Just 1.20$ and you can use thousands of tiles in your commercial or not game :)

(+1)

Thanks for your coomment!

You are welcome...I guess ahaha

Hi! just wanted to say that im in love with this Tileset and im so excited to start using it. I only have a few questions though that is related to RPG maker MV.

so im having issues using the animated sprites in RPG maker. Like the use of the cellphone animation and the reading animation. how do I get those to work in RPG maker MV?

Hi HolyRealm! Thanks for your coomment!
Those animations aren't currently available for the MV, but I can add the related files tomorrow if you want! :)
Btw, they will look a bit different cause the MV have the animation frames cap at 4!

Thank you for responding! It really means a lot! and that would be great! much appreciated!

Hi Holy, today I just had time to add the phone file, tomorrow I'll add the book file too :)

(+2)

This might sound wierd but... I love you and your content so much. You saved my game 🤭. I do have question though... Are you thinking of making any architectural builds besides serene village? Like city ones and stuff? If not that's ok, I honestly need to stop being lazy and just make some myself 😂, I was just wondering ❤. Thank you again!

(+1)

Hi boonie, don't worry for asking and thank you for your lovely words! :) I'm actually working on a city asset so don't worry ;)

(+1)

Mweheheh success!! Thank you!! Keke, now I get to be lazy~~. 😋

(+1)

I was actually about to ask the same thing but im excited to see it!

(-1)

Hi ehm its not really a free version this as I cannot use it in commercial games .. Just confirming this thats all.
I just found a sneaky text file in the folder saying that I can only use this for independent projects.. JUST making sure so I dont use it in any commercial thing by accident.

(+3)

Hi Bollehopp,
The free version can only be used in private projects, indeed.
Its license is both mentioned in the Free version page (linked above in the features) and in the text file named "READ ME" that you can find as soon as you open the .zip
I don't find the free license info to be sneaky at all, I'm sorry.

(-1)

Well not sneaky like sneak up on you thing but FREE to me means free xD Thats sneaky. I am just a new user to itch io I would just explain it that it would be Free for private use instead to clarify that is all. Was not having a go at you but I do understand the need to sell to make money but please clarify license that is all.

(+2)

It's free by definition; that you can download it for free. All assets that you can download for free - from any site - have different licenses. This one's license is that you can use it for personal projects. For most users, this is great, because most users will never reach the commercial point.

It's not sneaky at all. The fact that you can get such high quality sprites, that are a matching set, in a massive quantity, and that only cost $1.20 is incredible. The added benefit of being able to use a small amount of the sprites before purchasing is a unnecessary and a very generous thing that the creator decided to do. Most paid asset packs do not allow you to have some of the sprites for free before purchasing.

This pack could have easily been priced out of range for most users. I could see it being priced at $25, $50, or even more. They could have broken up all of these sets and charged $5 or $10 each, making the set $100 or $200. It's obvious that the last thing this creator was trying to do was try to trick people for profit or gain.

(-1)

YES I find them very very good too! I just only reacted at the wording of it and to me well xD I am just nitpicky thats all, I cannot be convinced that someone is trying to sell me a red ball and claim its dark blue for example.. SO just based on that I wouldnt buy that ball. This is just a rough example but you get the picture sort of?
VERY VERY NICE tileset I am just very new to the itch.io platform and I havent seen free used in this use before that is all ..
I had to follow this person who had made them too. VERY fantastic work.

>I don't find the free license info to be sneaky at all, I'm sorry.

Dude you have it listed as being under a creative commons license.  If that isn't the license you're using, it's pretty sneaky to misrepresent the assets as being under it.  (It's possibly also a violation of the 'creative commons' trademark.)

Ah, that was the old license, I forgot to change it back then! Btw, that wasn’t the topic :)

Just so you know, a CC-BY license is irrevocable.

You are right, there's a "LICENSE" file when you download the stuff, the old zips still have the CC-BY, and I will never revoke it, don't worry.

(+1)

I really love this set! Thanks for all the amazing hard work you've put into it, like wow.

Are there character templates available for RPG Maker MV?

Thank you for your comment, averybees!
I've just added a character template for the MV :)

Ooh, is it in the new file folder?

You can find it here: "4_RPG_MAKER_MV" -> "Characters" :)

(+1)

Looks great, glad to support artists.

I'm curious if the free pack is included in the paid one or do you need to download both?

Hi Saito, thanks for supporting!
Yes, the free pack is a microversion of the full one, so you just need to download that :)

(+1)

Those assets are great. If you run out of ideas for your updates could you add animated version of the fireplace from living room tileset?

(1 edit)

Hi Areinu, thanks for the comment!
I'm slowly revamping all the old stuff, including that fireplace, so it'll surely get an animation soon :)

edit: in the meantime you can use the Christmas chimney, it's animated!

(+1)

Yeah, that is what I'm doing right now :D

(+1)

Just bought the assets, hoping that there will be modern exterior as well, else the characters will just be indoors :D

Thanks hacksider! There will be modern exteriors ;)

(+1)

Hello !

I've bought this pack as my first one to try and get my hand on RPG MAKER MV, it looks really great and i'm really glad i did

Only question i have is i don't seem to get the "Animated Objects" to work on RPG MAKER MV, i've followed the steps in the import manual but still.. No animation ! If you could help with that it would be great, sorry if it's a "noob question" lol

Hi Speedstarz!
I'm not a big rpg maker expert, but using the quick event creation option and choosing a different sprite should be really helpful! :)

(+1)

Thank you for the amazing pack! Do you reckon we could have a sideways version of the bookshelves in the library & classroom theme? Bookshelves can be great space dividers!

Hi pham, thanks for your comment!
Sure, that's a great idea! I'm gonna add some sideways libraries tomorrow along with some old stuff revamps! :)

(+1)

Thanks again!

Hi pham, I've just added the stuff you asked for!
Hope it's as you wanted :) here

(+1)

Exactly what I was hoping for, thank you!

(+2)

Truly amazing stuff here! Thank you for allowing me to start making games with such quality assets! Wishing you the best!

(+1)

Thanks for your comment GungHog, I really appreciate :)

(+1)

I made an itch.io page for my game I'm making with your resources here: https://professorcreepypasta.itch.io/memories-of-ash

Of course I'll still post a video of my game in these comments when I upload one.

(+1)

Great! Looking forward to seeing the game! :)

(+2)

Your work is absolutely amazing! Can't wait to see the new exterior pack. I've been working on a side project and these assets (interiors, office and village) are incredibly helpful. I'll keep you posted, if I have something that's presentable.

(+2)

Thank you so much jletellier! Looking forward to seeing your stuff ;)

(3 edits)

DUDE! What an incredible pack! Bought both this and the office pack.

Keep up the good work, I'll be checking for updates :)

P.S: a small request for easying the sprite creation: is it possible that you supply all assets separately (without them touching each other)? They can be in a single file, that's fine, but some assets are attached to others (no pixels between them), so separating them needs to be done manually. Unity, for example, is able to separate assets when they have at least 1 transparent pixel all around them, so 1 click on the png file and you have them all ready to go:

https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/SpriteEditor.html

Check out Automatic Slicing.

Hi idann, I really appreciate your comment!
I've done a bit of research and the art software I actually use doesn't have a function to export the file adding a "border" between the tiles, but I've found another that has that option!
I'm gonna buy it and try to bring a version of the whole asset with that variation soon! :)

Awesome, thanks a bunch!

You are welcome! Would you prefer a single big file with all the stuff or a file for each theme?

Well, I guess separate files are preferable by most people, but it doesn’t really matter in MY case, as Unity can separate them to different sprites

Separate files for different objects, but same file for animations would work well, I think.

(+1)

how to upload this tileset to RPGMv?

tutorlial

Hi! There’s a txt tutorial file in the RpgMaker MV folder :)

Thanks😊

sorry, but i want reply but i reported

but i dont now where is the txt file in rpg maker mv

It's here :)

(-1)

thanks but i have free version

(+3)

You could make a whole To the Moon game out of these....

(+2)

The possibilities at this point are endless, and we are not even halfway! ;)

(+1)

Hello, Just purchased the this package for over the $1.20 amount.  Was there supposed to be a license file included with the materials?

Hi! There's no license file at the moment, it's just mentioned on the asset page!
Now that I think of it, a licence file would be useful so I'm gonna add one today! :)

(+1)

I love these sprites so so much. 😍 Thought about adding in things like cameras, lights booms etc for a photo studio/film set/movie set?

And any idea when you'll have the exterior set ready to release? Can't wait to pick it up!

(+1)

Thank you so much Timps! The exterior pack gonna be ready soon! :)
The photo studio looks like a nice theme! Gonna add it for sure in future!

(+1)

These sprites are awesome. Would it be possible to add few jock(sports) characters? I tried using the template, but hair is quite difficult for me. Thanks for your hard work!

Hi Kagna! Thanks for your kind words!
I can surely add some sport characters next, do you have any sport preference?

(+1)

No sports in particular, but characters from high schools jock cliques would work: https://maupiblog.wordpress.com/2016/02/29/cliques/

Thanks!

(1 edit)

Got it! That's a nice idea indeed! :)

(+1)

Oh yes! I love groceries :)

You clearly are a man of culture! ;)

Yes I am! :D

(+1)

It is sad that i bought this but got a paypal api error, my money was spent but i couldn't download it. Waitting for itch.io's reply. I can't enjoy it for the first time. TAT

Oh that's bad indeed :(
Might it be appeared here to download? https://itch.io/my-collections

no. :(

I am waitting for itch's support email, hope i can get it tomorrow

Hi dicarne, did you manage to get it?

(+1)

First purchase in itch. Thanks for the amazing art!

Hi LusiQ_00,

I always used Aseprite :)

Hi LimeZu.  If you get an opportunity, would you please add some further characters to the pack?  I'd love a character in some kind of security attire, some kind of policeman/mercenary would be awesome.   Maybe a butcher with a cleaver would also fit the current theme.

Thanks as always.

(+1)

Hub lord, thanks for your suggestions! A butcher will be surely added in the pack when the butcher’s shop subtheme is done! ;)

(1 edit)

Hello. I just wanted to give you an idea. It seems like you like to make some fun pixel art drawings, so how does this sound? You could make an asset pack, but packed with a ton of different cursors. Maybe an open hand about to pick something up and then another one with the hand closed? That would be really cool! Once again, this isn't a request, just an idea. (:

Hi Zach!
Thanks for the idea, I'm gonna think about it! :)

(+1)

Hi, I started learning Unity and bought your package because it is so cool. And the comments below are very positive. I need little help with tilesets.

I took "Tileset_48x48_7.png" which size is 480x480 so I sliced it to 10 pices because cell size is 48px. I hope that I have done everything right up to this point.

I started creating a wall for the classroom like in your screenshots.

When I play a scene I see gray/black bars.

Can you please advise any solution?

(1 edit)

Hi Bugerman, thanks for your kind words!
It looks like you are taking an extra pixel from the right of the wall, when the border begins.
I tried to reproduce your issue and It looks the same:

(+1)

(*! *) I am Brazilian This answer was translated via Google Translate.

Fortunately I managed to find the error.
Thanks for listening.
I really like his work, he is inspiring and original so please keep it up.
I hope for more updates and I would like to suggest a theme that is "Zombies" would be really cool, thanks again.

Great, I'm glad you solved it! Thanks for the suggestion, I'll think about it! :)

(+1)

Hello I'm using RPG maker XP for my project and all the 32x32 Tilesets are ether for MV or two big to use. Do you have the tilesets in RPG maker XP style?

Hi Warock,

at the moment there are no XP compatible tilesets, the XP tileset size is 256 x endless if I'm not wrong, so I need to replace everything in a file like that. Since the "everything" is a massive amount of stuff, it may take me a while, but in the next few days I'll try to get it done :)
I'll comment here again when I update the asset with the XP stuff, so you'll get a notif!

(+1)

Thank you your tilesets are kind of a big part to my game.

Hi Warock! Today I started converting everything for the XP, give it a try! here

Hi Warock, I ended converting all the tilesets! here

(1 edit) (+1)

Hi.  Thank you for the sprite pack! We have already utilized some of them in our templates in Unity.

I probably  have a weird question and you may not have an answer to it. But can we use these sprites for creating our Unity 2D game? We want to have a game, where character can move both left, right and forward, backward, just like your sprites and animation supposed to work. So, the game would have 2D graphics logic like in Among US, but with pixel sprites. Can this be achieved using Unity 2D game engine only, or we have to use Unity 3D features for things like getting behind an object or standing in front of it? Thanks, if you have any ideas.

P.S. I think this could be achieved, by dynamically changing order in layer property of our character, but it seems quite cumbersome and I'm not sure it's the best way to do it.

Hi danksy, thanks for your comment, I appreciate!
I'm not a Unity expert, but I'm pretty sure all that can be achieved using the 2D system! There should be a bunch of YT tutorials on how to make a pixel top-down game in Unity!
Best of luck with your project!

(+1)

Thanks! Appreciate it. Our team will definitely give the credits when we finish our game.

That's great! Don't forget to link me the game when it's ready, I wanna play it too! ;)

(+1)

I friggin love these tiles, they fit with the kind of project I been working on, and the updates just keep coming.

A dumb question on my part: Are/or are you planning to do outdoor locations to go with this asset pack?

(+1)

Hi Spoofus, thanks for the comment!
I'm working on a modern exterior pack, it's taking forever since I update this asset each day, but it not far from a releasable state!

Awesome, had a feeling about it.

Also how can I contact you about info for commission questions, if you are doing such stuff

(Trying to get an idea of certain thingd)

I’m pretty full at the moment, but you can contact me here: limezu.pixel@gmail.com ;)

(+1)

I PURCHASED THIS 111 DAYS AGO!!

Ahahah that was hundreds and hundreds of tiles ago!!!

(+1)

yup

(+1)

I'd like to make a request and I'd even pay for it if necessary. A best friend of mine passed away back in 2018 and I'd like to know if you could possibly make a character based on him for me. I have pictures of him for a reference. Please let me know if you can do this for me. I'd really appreciate it if you can.

(1 edit) (+1)

Hi professor

send me a picture of him, I’ll make a character in the next few days :)

edit: you can send me the picture via Twitter or email if you wish

(1 edit) (+1)

Alright I just sent some pictures on Twitter. His name was Ash.

(+1)

Great, gonna check them out

Hi prof, I've just added what you asked for, hope he's at least a bit similar to your friend! here

Just playing around with the assets here, and although they look great, they're kinda awkward to use within rpg maker, I know it's for all general purpose but since you are listening I thought I'd let you know anyway.  Because of the way RPG maker works if a player wants to interact with  something it happens on the square tile itself, but a lot of the assets take up 2 squares because of their size and the dead space on either side. This in turn means that if we were to "use" the bathtub, the player would stand on either the left or the right side of the tub but not in the middle. Same for a lot of the sinks. A lot of the assets are also "floating" since they're not touching the bottom of their cell, meaning if the player was to interact with it, he would either step on it or be blocked from it some pixels away. This sort of break the nice illusion created by these beautiful assets. Maybe down scaling everything a bit would do the trick,  so the bathtub for example takes up a 1x3 grid instead of a 2x4. Funnily enough with the bathtub, this is already what happens if you insert the filling of the tub animation. This actually means that it makes it very hard to layer those two on top of each other, empty tub with the filled tub animation. Hope you understand where I'm getting at. I know it'll be a lot of work and I surely don't expect you to go through all of the assets any time soon to fix these small corrections. But it would make your asset pack a lot more user friendly, and I think there's a whole community of RPG makers who are craving good graphics like these that doesn't feel as bland as the RTP.

(+1)

Mmm I see I see...
Ok, the problem is that many objects are not designed to have a square collission box, since the Rpg Maker is the only software that forces that . I can try to shift every object that doesn't touch the bottom of the tile so the RPG Maker character can interact with them without being distant.  For the bathtub example, I have no idea why the animation of te bathrtub works the way you mentioned since it's the sprites are placed in the same way on the grid, that's weird. Down scaling breaks proportions and require a lot of time, so I won't do that.

Also, I'm gonna add a suggested plugin on the asset page, since there are some out there that rewrite the collission system of the RPG Maker, and even the step length of the character, meaning that every now mentioned issue would be fixed.

That would be great, I don't know any plugins what so every so that would be nice.

I just saw that you updated the description thank you. The plugin seems very powerful and definitely changes the feel of a game.  But I guess I have to get real creative with the implementation because I'm using MZ and it seems that plugin only works with MV.

I found this plugin for the MZ that allows you to set a custom character step length! The MZ is fairly new, but I'm sure in the next few months some useful collision plugin will come out!

Love the tenacity, just wanted to share that the MZ plugin doesn't really work that well and I just had a chat with the creator who said he doesn't recommend using it. So I think maybe remove that recommendation so it doesn't fall back on you for recommending it ;) Keep up the good work, always happy to see what improvements you come up with.

(+1)

Great, thanks for the info!

(+1)

Now I haven't looked through all of them, but some of the animations for the rpgmaker are offset to the left, for example the fridge. I saw some of the others that were as well. Since they're off center they're not aligning with the tiles.  It looks very good though. To anyone else reading this, it's worth a buy.

(+1)

Hi Bneji! I've never thought about that issue...I should move some objects indeed.
In the meanwhile, placing the offset stuff a tile shifted to the left or to the right kinda fix that, but it's no the final solution I know

(+3)

As always, thanks for the quick response. When stuff like this comes up, would you rather I dm you on twitter or just continue posting them here. I understand that quick responses expresses high service and thus has the potential to make people more interested in buying your packs. But then again, If I keep bringing up minor details here, it might discourage people from buying your packs and I certainly don't want that to happen.

(+3)

Don't worry for asking here, I'm happy if I can improve the quality of the asset and I'm not worried about people potentially getting discouraged since I believe I have proved several times to be able to solve issues and help anyone whoever got stuck using his software of choice!
